NSP Login — Step by Step Procedure

Before commencing with the NSP login procedure, students have to register themselves to apply for scholarships. The NSP registration process is a vital step without which students cannot move ahead to the National Scholarship Portal login process.

Once the students complete their registration on the NSP portal, they can begin with the login process.

NSP Login — Process of Logging into the NSP Portal (Fresh Application)

Step 1 — Visit the official National Scholarship Portal login page

Step 2 — Click on ‘Login’ in the Application Form tab

Step 3 — Select ‘Fresh 2020–21’ option

Step 4 — Students will be redirected to a new page.

Step 5 — Enter Application ID, Password and the CAPTCHA code highlighted beside the slot.

Step 6 — Once filled, click on ‘Login’

Step 7 — Once the application form opens, enter the following details:

  • Date of Birth
  • Mobile Number
  • Bank Name
  • Bank IFSC Code

Step 8 — Click on ‘Save & Continue’

Step 9 — Again, students will be redirected to another new page

Essential documents required for National Scholarship Portal Login

  1. Verification Form provided by the educational institution
  2. Student’s Photograph
  3. Self-certified Community Certificate from the applicant attaining 18 years of age/others the Community Certificate certified by parent/guardian
  4. Income Certificate issued by the Competent Authority in the State/UT Government
  5. Fee Receipt of ‘Current Course Year’
  6. For Scholarship under MCM based Scheme, students have to upload self-attested Mark Sheet, indicating 50% marks and above in the last qualifying exam at higher secondary/graduation level
  7. Residential/Domicile Certificate
  8. Student’s bank account number with the IFSC Code of the bank branch (regarding Pre-Matric Scheme, bank account number with the IFSC Code of the parents/guardians
  9. Bonafide student certificate from School/Institute, if it located in a State/UT different from domicile State/UT
  10. Student’s Aadhaar card number or bonafide student certificate from the school/institute, and scanned copies of Aadhaar enrolment ID (if applied for Aadhaar) and bank passbook.

NSP Login — Procedure to Search Institute/School/ITI

  1. Visit the official National Scholarship Portal website
  2. Click on ‘Search Institute/ School/ ITI’ link present on the homepage

  • Institution State
  • Institution District

  1. Visit the official National Scholarship Portal website

Q. Who is eligible to apply for NSP Scholarships?

Students who have studied from Class 1 to Class 12 (CBSE board or equivalent Examination of State Boards), or have an undergraduate, postgraduate, PhD or Postdoctoral degree are eligible to apply for NSP Scholarships.

Q. How can I login to the National Scholarship Portal?

For NSP Login, students need to visit the official NSP website and click on the Login link to log on to the scholarship portal.

Q. Is it necessary to submit my Bank Account number to submit my application form?

Yes. It is a mandatory process and cannot be skipped.

Q. Can I apply as a fresh candidate even if I’m a renewal candidate?

No. Students who would apply for the scholarship for the first time can log into the portal as a fresh applicant. In case of students who have already applied for a scholarship earlier but wish to apply for other scholarships, they have to log in as a renewal candidate. If a renewal candidate applies as a Fresh candidate, his/her application will be rejected.
